My setup: completely fresh OS X Lion with GPGTools 20110622.

It works exactly as advertised on my machine (Lion, newest build of GPGServices).
Do you really have just one private key, or do you have disabled/expired keys in your keychain?

- State changed from hold to open

- mv ~/.gnupg ~/.gnupg.test
- Create key using GKA
- Right click on a file > Services > OpenPGP: Sign

Ah I think I understand. The only private key isn't set as the default private key in the gnupg.conf. I missed this in my test case.
I'll fix this.
