crash under OS X 10.6.8, 10.7.5

100% reproducible, a user reported this and I was also able to reproduce on a second 10.7.5. machine. 10.6.8 is also affected. 10.8 and 10.9 are fine.
- install GPG Suite 903n (GPGServices 673n)
- check GPGServices are correctly activated
- try to encrypt text or a file
-> nothing
machine seems to stall, but then continues to operate. just the services won't work. stable does not have this issue.
console log shows GPGServices is crashing and the log is attached
