Better error message if no public key exists for proper verification
Reported by Support | October 24th, 2013 @ 08:30 PM | in 2.0 (closed)
Assigned to Everything #2952. As reported in Tender:
I noticed that when Services tries to validate a .sig where the public key is not in the user's keyring, the Growl notification is not nearly as urgent-sounding as it should be.
In my case, I see only "Verification for [filename]... Signed by stranger ... [signature keyID DSA]". It really should say something like "public key missing -- verification failed!"
