Services> OpenGPG: Verify fails in TextEdit when a carriage return is present
Reported by Nick Doty | August 30th, 2013 @ 02:12 AM | in 2.6
Repro steps
Create a new plain text document in TextEdit
Type any character
Insert a carriage return
Type any other character
Select all and sign using Services > OpenGPG: Sign
Select all and verify using Services > OpenGPG: Verify
Expected result: Verified Signature
Actual result: "Bad signature"
If I save the text file and run gpg --verify the signature is verified, so the problem seems to be in the Verify step, not in the signing.
This has been problematic when someone sends me a document they signed that used carriage returns. Verifying it from the command line shows a valid signature, but selecting all and using the handy Services menu shows a bad signature.
Version: I'm running version 1.9.1 of GPG Services, Build 506, on Mac OS X 10.8.4.

After trying to reproduce, this is not reproducable on macOS 13.2.1 + GPG Suite 2023.1. Closing.
