I'm not able to reproduce this.
I tried the following:
- in Finder, click to highlight one file: date.txt
- Services > OpenPGP: Sign File
- choose a key
- enter passphrase
- Result: a new file, date.txt.sig; Growl notifies "Signing finished" – "Signed 'date.txt'"

Chris, if you can't reproduce this and are willing to dive into this, we could do a teamviewer session, since I can reproduce this on my system using the latest nightly.

Damn! Fixed for me. Also not reproducible on Mentos machine. Markus tested the nightly build but still experiences the problem.
Attached his new log file.

As assessed before, I'm pretty sure there's something wrong on the user's machine.
GPGServices thinks two files were selected, while the user claims only one was selected.
We should ask him for other installed plugins.
I'm pretty sure there's something fishy going on. -
