Forward error messages to the user

Currently GPGServices often dies without any notification for the user - only Console.app shows crash reports. GPGService should show error messages instead.

Some fixes in nightly:

file operations are now done on a background thread, and the GPGServices request is replied to quickly (no more "did not respond" error messages) even as GPGServices cranks away at the operation

a progress dialog indicates that GPGServices is working

on Lion, unexpected early termination by gpg2 no longer generates SIGPIPE to take down GPGServices, so GPGServices will report the error
