Installed MacGPG2, doesn't work with Enigmail
Reported by Emin | April 7th, 2011 @ 11:06 PM | in 2.0.18 (closed)
Installed MacGPG2 and GPG Keychain Access as separate packages from http://www.gpgtools.org/ (didn't use full installer - GPGTools Installer - because I don't want the other components). Installed Enigmail as an add-on in Thunderbird (Enigmail 1.1.2, Thunderbird 3.1.9). When opening a new message or trying to access Enigmail's properties I get the attached error message. No idea what to do next. Had no luck trying to find instructions on how to set up gnupg-agent properly on Snow Leopard (using 10.6.7) except for this article: http://www.beitz.org/node/85 - not sure if I should follow those instructions...

Fixed it with:
# cd /usr/local/bin/ # ln -s /usr/local/MacGPG2/bin/gpg-agent
:)

Nice report - thank you. @Benjamin: you might want to add this to your installer. I already added it to the GPGTools (un-)installer.

I confirm that the workaround works, please include the required commands in the installer. This would really improve the first time user experience with gpgtools. Thanks.

Should be fixed by now. If you still are having trouble please test https://github.com/downloads/GPGTools/MacGPG2/MacGPG2-2.0.18-3.dmg and see if that fixes your problem.
