The gpg2 command uses the region setting instead of the language setting
Reported by Adrien Clidière | March 4th, 2011 @ 02:51 PM | in 2.2.7 (closed)
My Mac has its user interface language set to "English", and its regional setting set to "France".
When I run gpg2 --key-gen, the output is:
gpg (GnuPG/MacGPG2) 2.0.17; Copyright (C) 2011 Free Software Foundation, Inc.

The text should NOT be in French. GPG2 should read the Language setting of Mac OS X, not the Region setting.
To change those settings, go to the Mac OS X Preferences, and select "Language & Text".
The first tab is "Language". The Language setting normally affects all language in the user interface.
The 3rd tab, "Formats", is where you set the region. Changing the region should only affect the formatting of the date, time, numbers, measurement units, and type of calendar. It should not affect language.
If you make tests, you will need to close the Terminal window every time you change the region setting, so that the new setting applies to the new Terminal session.
I'm running Mac OS 10.6.6.
