Cannot create keys and existing sec keys won't show up gpgmail

Using GPG Tools Installer 20110201 on a mac mini intel core duo with mac os x 10.6.6.
Process of key creation stays at "gathering random data" forever putting the cpu load to 100%.
Existing secret keys are not showing up in gpgmail.
Could this be a 32bit problem?
