Multiple issues with MacGPG 2.0.17.6 install

A user was reporting critical issues with MacGPG2 v2.0.17.6 and following long remote desktop session I have ascertained:
i/ Keyrings corrupt
ii/ User had compiled and installed gnupg v2.0.17 from source
iii/ gpg v1.4.x also failing.
Restored keyrings from back up, removed rouge v2.0.17 install, removed MacGPG2 and reinstalled.
MacGPG2 is still reporting problems with the keyrings - unusable public and private keys - but GnuPG operations now possible with v1.4.x. v2.0.17 operating fine against newly generated test key.
May become an issue for upstream reporting.

gpg2 --gen-key completes fine for RSA 2048 key but stalls indefinitely on 1024-bit key on this system.
Unable to reproduce. Probable upstream issue.

- State changed from “hold” to “resolved”
Multiple issues identified - none relating to MacGPG2 per se.
Restored configuration file pointed to incorrect pinentry. Default key in conf file did not exist. Main key not self signed.
Issues resolved and system working.
