pinentry-mac relies on windowServer even with USE_CURSES
Reported by Colin Hebert | April 28th, 2013 @ 11:46 PM | in 2.2.0 (closed)
pinentry seems to rely on windowServer whether PINENTRY_USER_DATA="USE_CURSES=1" is set or not.
This means that a machine freshly started (no user logged in) accessed through SSH won't let the user use pinentry at all (even pinentry-mac --version will fail!).
Same goes if the gpg-agent acts as a SSH agent.
