GPG keychain access won't recognize secret key (Hushmail)
Reported by Val Trullinger | November 16th, 2011 @ 12:16 AM | in 1.0 (closed)
Hi there! I'm trying to import my secret Hushmail key. I can import it just fine from the GPG command line, and it seems to import correctly; it shows up in ~/.gnupg/secring.gpg, even. But GPG Keychain Access only recognizes the public key. I've tried using the GUI to import the key, but that still doesn't make it show up in Keychain Access. (See attached screenshots)

I just tried to open Keychain Access again and it crashed on opening. Here's the error from the console:
11/15/11 11:22:34.928 PM GPG Keychain Access: GetDYLDEntryPointWithImage(/System/Library/Frameworks/AppKit.framework/Versions/Current/AppKit,_NSCreateAppKitServicesMenu) failed.
The application error was: "GPG Config Error Ups, something went wrong. GPG was found on your system but there seems to be a problem with the config file. Please contact the GPGTools team http://wwwgpgtools.org/about.html."
Also, I installed oPenGP on my iPhone, and imported the key I'd been having issues with in Keychain Access -- it imported without a hitch, so I'm pretty sure the key's good.

Which version of GPG Keychain Access do you use?
Please post your ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf (Encrypted to 00D026C4 if you want).
Please post the full output from the console.
Can you create a new key like the key you have (a key that makes the same problem) and send it to me? (Do NOT send YOUR key!) -

Hi!
I'm using Keychain access 1.0b2. I'll try making another key to replicate the problem later today and send it to you then.
Here's the .conf:
require-cross-certification allow-non-selfsigned-uid keyserver ldap://keys.hush.com keyserver-options auto-key-retrieve auto-key-locate cert pka ldap hkp://keys.gnupg.net comment GPGTools - http://gpgtools.org
