Try importing a 256 EdDSA / 265 ECDH key, created in Thunderbird, into GPG Keychain.

  1. The password for this key is not set during key creation in Thunderbird but on export. Pinentry Mac asks for passphrase for EdDSA key and then asks again for the ECDH subkey. Is this expected? It certainly differs from RSA key import.

  2. After entering the correct passphrase twice GPG Keychain imports the key but ends the import with an error message:
Alert Import failed! Code = 0 Error text: gpg: key CCDA3600348AF28A: public key "GPGTools Test Account <test@ema.il>" imported gpg: key CCDA3600348AF28A/8484B897CD093C59: error sending to agent: Bad secret key gpg: error reading '[stdin]': Bad secret key gpg: import from '[stdin]' failed: Bad secret key gpg: Total number processed: 0 gpg: imported: 1 gpg: secret keys read: 1
