Keyserver: no data / timeout / bad keyserver

I'm encountering a couple of issues with keyserver interactions.
- From the preference menu, changing keyserver worked at the
beginning, but now it returns a "Bad keyserver" error
message.
- Sending a key to a keyserver hangs forever. Same when revoking
a key.
- Searching keys tends to be hazardous.
All those operations work from commandline using e.g. hkp://pgp.mit.edu.

could you please re-post your question on our support platform. You can simply file a report from System Preferences > GPG Suite Preferences. Attaching the debug log will be helpful. We'll then take a closer look at your problem. Make sure to fill out all the questions we ask to guarantee a fast processing. Once the issue at hand is isolated, we’ll create a ticket here, which is our actual bug tracker.
