local cache with info about uploaded keys needs to be updated instantly
Reported by steve | May 18th, 2017 @ 03:32 PM | in 1.4 (closed)
Currently this takes a while (~60 minutes).
This cache is used to determine the default pre-selection for key upload, when new user ID and Subkeys are added to a key.

The current code doesn't seem to evict keys from the cache if I read that correctly. Since we forbid uploading a public key if it's not yet on the key servers, regular checks have to be implemented to see whether or not the key has in the meantime been added to the key servers. Otherwise, once an attempt was made at uploading a public key not on the key servers once, all other's will fail.
Please correct me if I'm wrong

A cache entry saying a key isn't on the server is ignored after one hour.
Should we ask the key server every time a users tries to upload a key and not cache a "not found"? -
