Gpgtools GPG Keychain Access → 1.4

We have quite a few blind users. It would be amazing to have GPG Suite being fully usable by blind users.

This ticket is specific to the key creation dialog. I'm sure other areas in GPG Keychain need improvement regarding VoiceOver as well, but let's keep this ticket here focused.

Working

• Upload public key checkbox: correctly recognized and announced, toggling works using ctrl + alt + spacebar (or only the spacebar)

Issue to solve in the key creation dialog:

• textfields: VoiceOver is not announcing in which Textfield the user is, thus blind users would not know what info is being requested. To see how this is solved create a new mail with mail.app and tab through the To: and Copy: fields. Those fields are announce, so users know what information they are supposed to enter in the specific field in question.
• the triangle to extend the extended options is not announced as "Extended options" but only as Triangle unextended. ctrl + alt + spacebar (or spacebar only) do extend or minimize the extended options as expected.
• can not tab into the extended option details. after extending the triangle and pressing tab, the user find themselves in the passphrase textfield. All details options are skipped. This should not be the case. Once the details are extended, a tab press should move to the next field. In this case that would be the Comment field.
• The passphrase textfield (as well as the confirm passphrase textfield) are not announce with naming or title but just as textfields (see above details why that is a problem).
