Existing key on OpenPGP card doesn't show up in GPG Keychain Access

Reported by Support | January 30th, 2014 @ 10:03 PM | in 1.2b1 (closed)

Assigned to Everything #16941. As reported in Tender:

GPG Keychain Access 1.1.3 (601)
10.8.5

I use a OpenPGPcard to store my keys. What I did in previous version of GPGtools is I would open a terminal when GPG Keychain Access was running and type gpg2 --card-status. Then GPG Keychain Access would see my secret key on the card and I can use it.

But that no longer works and I can't get the secret key on the card recognized. I can generate a new key on the card, and then it shows up in GPG Keychain Access. But i want to plug a card with a existing key, not generate a new one.

If you remember, please describe the steps leading up to the problem

Some off topic notes. This session should be SSL, because users of your software are giving up information that can be used to compromise their systems. http://arstechnica.com/business/2013/12/why-nsa-spied-on-inexplicab...

Also please contact me if you would be interested in selling OpenPGP smartcards as i have a business partner who can provide you sample products I think you really need to see.
