Allow searching for key fingerprints (need to ignore spaces between characters)
Reported by Support | November 2nd, 2013 @ 02:17 PM | in 1.2b1 (closed)
Assigned to Everything #12680. Has this always been like this? Currently when either using
- Search for key (cmd +f) or
- Retrieve from key server (alt + cmd + k)
and pasting a fingerprint in the usual readable format (e.g. offered in GPG Keychain Access key inspector)
8C37 1C40 B31D A620 815E 01A9 779F EB13 92CB BADF
Current behavior: No key is found.
Expected: remove spaces between characters and then do the search. Find the according key.

let's also allow copy pasting the fingerprint with a break at the end. that happens when e.g. one is pasting the key from this ticket.
to reproduce:
- 3x click the fingerprint info in initial bug report and paste that info into gka -> no key found.
