public keys don't import

Reported by Isaac Beachy | June 1st, 2011 @ 07:48 PM | in 1.2 (closed)

I use Mac GNU Privay Gaurd as a GUI for the GPG system which includes GPG File Tool 1.0.2 and GPG Keychain Access 0.7.0. I can't use the most updated version of GPG Keychain Access because we are using Mac OS X 10.4.11.

The problem is that when I import keys using Keychain Access it says 'Import Successful', but no key shows up in Keychain Access to sign. Thus, I am not able to encrypt or decrypt with this computer. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall multiple times to no avail. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling both the GUI tools and GnuGP, the private key I created years ago remains and any attempts to delete or replace the old private key with a new one only gives us a "key generated successfully" message without actually generating a key.

Any ideas?
