provide UI to reflect revocate certificate management status
Reported by steve | January 5th, 2015 @ 11:32 PM
The automatic creation of revocation certificates whenever a new key is created was an awesome improvement. That important step will save users a lot of pains and allow much better key management and provide better safety.
To make the existance of such cert more transparent we should either display
- ✔ Revocation Certificate exists + Button "Show Cert"
- ✘ No Revocatition Certificate + Button "Create now"
"Show Cert" would open the RevCerts folder for the user and have the certificate for the key shown in Key Inspector preselected. "Create now" would create a rev cert for the key shown in Key Inspector and after that process is finished display the updated status in the "Key" tab the user is viewing.
GPG Keychain would search ~/.gnupg/RevCerts and display the info accordingly in the key inspector key tab as discussed above. Currently we lack a visual indicator for the existance or non-existance of rev certs.

Just my two cents here, but based on my feelings expressed on #244 I think this is a misfeature: with laptops being the primary computer of many people these days, keeping revocation certificates on one's day-to-day hard drive should not be actively encouraged.

For the sake of cross-reference, #367 largely contradicts this (IMO for the better).
