GPG Keychain Access 0.8.1b breaks MacGPG 2.0.17
Reported by Alex (via GPGTools) | January 22nd, 2011 @ 11:54 PM | in 0.8.13 (closed)
In my opinion GPG Keychain Access breaks MacGPG 2.0.17:
- Create a new user
- Login as new user and install MacGPG 2.0.17
What is working:
- gpg2 --gen-key
What is not working:
- Start GPG Keychain Access 0.8.1b
- gpg2 --gen-key
gpg: problem with the agent: No pinentry
gpg: Key generation canceled.
What fixes the issue:
rm ~/.gnupg/S.gpg-agent

GPGTools utilities should stop trying to do clever things with gpg's sockets.
Please leave them to MacGPG2's control.

Apologies - I knew a beta was involved but lost track of the version numbers.
