Allow importing private keys from backuped .gnupg folder

Reported by Luke Le | January 25th, 2012 @ 04:22 PM | in 1.4.7b1 (closed)

Sometimes a user forgets to copy over the old .gnupg folder after re-installing
their system or setting up a new user account.
If the user creates a new key after that and only later discovers that the old keys
are missing it's a pretty tedious work to import the old keys from a backup.

Following steps are necessary:

1.) Move ~/.gnupg
2.) Copy over the old .gnupg folder
3.) Open GPG Keychain Access
4.) Export all the old private keys
5.) Close GPG Keychain Access
6.) Remove the old .gnupg folder
7.) Move the .gnupg folder renamed in step 1 back to the original ~/.gnupg location
8.) Open GPG Keychain Access again
9.) Import the in step 4 exported keys

GPG Keychain Access should allow to import secret keys by simply pointing it to the old location of the .gnupg folder.
In addition it should be possible to select the keys to be imported.
