Sign by default not working, Terminal instructions don't help, can't find nightly
Reported by Greg | July 25th, 2013 @ 04:29 PM
I've searched and looked through several tickets that have reported this problem.
First you suggested running this terminal command: defaults write ~/Library/Preferences/org.gpgtools.gpgmail SignNewEmailsByDefault -bool YES
That doesn't work. Yes, I also ran it while Mail wasn't running just to be sure. Still doesn't work.
Then you suggested getting the nightly from https://nightly.gpgtools.org. There is no nightly build there. It just shows the home page and downloads the same GPGTools-2013.5.20.dmg file.
This should be a preference in the GUI anyway. Help??
EDIT: Posted here too, along with a rant about how difficult it is to figure out where to post support tickets: http://support.gpgtools.org/discussions/everything/9945-sign-by-def...

Greg: one thing at a time.
GPGTools project uses two platforms: Bug Tracker and Support.
Your request is a support request and since you've already created a discussion please continue there. This here is our ticket system where we manage the bugs once we've found and isolated them.
Hope we can get you fixed soon. :)
Best, steve

Thanks Steve, I guess I'll see you on Tender. Please see my rant there.
I know the difference between a bug tracker and a support desk, but you managed to confuse even me! And I'm a developer who has his own software to support! How on earth can you expect users to figure this stuff out? They shouldn't see the bug tacker, and if you want them to be able to see it, then I really don't think you should allow them to post here. Bug trackers are for developers, not users, and shouldn't be linked to from the home page IMO.

as I already pointed out: this discussion does not belong in our bug tracker - thanks for understanding.
