  thanks a lot for sending the GPG support platform link!

  For similar requests I'll describe here the somewhat complicated procedure how I could repair my problem.
  May be this can help somebody:

  Via this direct link I loaded GPGMail-1.4.1.dmg, unpacked it and had the tool installed ...
  ... killed and restarted the Mail program ... didn't work yet :-(

  I found:
  Important: The mail address you use, to create your new key pair, has to perfectly match the mail address used in
  Mail.app > Accounts (case sensitive).

  (I use 2 E-Mail addresses which just differ by case usage, which doesn't matter for sending/receiving E-Mails!)

  So I went back to:

  ... I followed the instructions to add one more E-Mail address perfectly matching a further address with just different case usage (s. above!), then again killed and restarted the Mail program ... and -puff- it worked!

  May be this all could have been achieved much easier (faster), but anyway, it worked!

  Erik, thanks for posting your solution. Well the task of presenting the correct information for a specific problem is rather hard to accomplish. But we're trying. The Knowledge Base is a good starting point if you run into trouble.
