Provide an installer that downloads automatically the latest version.

I think we do not have any resources for this yet. Might be an interesting approach in conjunction with our build server...

If nothing else, please make this a "NOTIFIER" that an update is available. THis is a security tool and using an outdated version could be unsafe or problematic. The end result is that this toolset makes crypto available to a LOT of people in an easy way. Part of our job here is to at least let people know that "An updated version of GPG Tools is available." Followed by potentially "Click to read more or click to install".

Hi Tyrel,
I think we've partially already completed this task by adding Sparkle update checker to most of our apps.
Still room for improvement of course, though. -

That should be easy enough. A helper app which runs as a launch agent and checks for updates.

- Importance cleared.
Shouldn't we rather head in the sparkle direction? And besides sparkle let's go "release early, release often". Despite currently not our deployment, we should head that way, no?
