Difficulty installing GPGMail

Reported by Duane Powers | June 2nd, 2011 @ 02:35 PM

Upon install on 10.6.7, I am getting the following error:
GnuPG Missing:

Neither GnuPG nor GnuPG 2 is found on your system! Make sure you have at least one of them installed. Visit http://gpgtools.org

I have installed MacGPG2 and GPGTools-20110322

And from Terminal:
bueller 26 $ which gpg
/usr/local/bin/gpg bueller 27 $ which gpg2
/usr/local/bin/gpg2 bueller 28 $ gpg --version
gpg (GnuPG/MacGPG2) 2.0.17
libgcrypt 1.4.6

Um, so after filing this ticket, I open a message in Mail, and it promptly tells me that the message is signed by PGP. The GPGMail plugin pane is visible in Preferences, and while I haven't yet done a comprehensive test, it appears to be installed.

Move along, nothing to see here. These are not the tickets you're looking for.

(Fixed) I have the same problem but if I start Thunderbird from the console, it goes away.
That shows that the problem is more in the enimail extension or Thunderbird than in pgp itself but nevertheless, result is that it does not work as the path for gpg-agent is not visible.

The creation of a simple link can solve the issue.

    sudo ln -s /usr/local/MacGPG2/bin/gpg-agent /usr/local/bin/gpg-agent

    -- Dominig

Thank you. Already reported and fixed, but not released. See #67.

Should be fixed in the latest beta release (see http://gpgtools.org/installer).
