libiconv version mismatch in installer provided versions

gpg from the command line now fails, with the following error:
Lachesis% gpg
dyld: Library not loaded:
/usr/local/MacGPG2/lib/libiconv.2.dylib
Referenced from: /usr/local/bin/gpg Reason: Incompatible library
version: gpg requires version 8.0.0 or later, but libiconv.2.dylib
provides version 7.0.0 zsh: trace trap gpg
The error persists after removing and reinstalling MacGPG2 both with the MacGPG2 installer and with the GPG-tools installer.
Installer version: Version 2012.03.18
MacOSX version: 10.6.8
