  I like the current solution a bit better ;) But besides this, we've to distinguish between "how to follow" and "how to support" buttons. The former (twitter, rss, rss, mailing list) are at the top of our page and the later (twitter, g+, facebook) at the bottom. How do you think we should proceed here?

  I'm not sure.

  • "What is new" adds no value since it only links to twitter and thus is a duplication. Any further plans for this category? If not, should we delete it? Or add the twitter widget, but I'd personally prefere to keep the pages as clean and unified as possible.
  • Not sure if Follow and Support should be under contact. Follow: yes, and we have that. Support sounds like the contribute wiki page we once set up. Shouldn't that contribute page be linked form the word "contribute" on the Donate page?

  • Regarding 1: "add the twitter widget". Actually, there is already the twitter widget. Maybe you're blocking JavaScript? But we can also remove it.
  • Regarding 2: "Not sure if [...] Support should be under contact". Actually I've added the support buttons to every single page at the bottom. I've now updated the Donate page.

  Alex you have cleaned up the donate page. Great work, much cleaner now. Should the paypal & flattr buttons be in one row instead of below each other?

  1) I don't see the twitter widget in any browser. JavaScript is enabled. Are we talking about the same thing? (for me twitter widget is the widget showing the latest 4 or 5 tweets)

  besides that, I think this ticket can be closed.
