create KB-article explaining how to deal with signatures
Reported by steve | August 19th, 2014 @ 12:38 PM
Many people find it useful to sing all outgoing mail. It doesn't hurt anybody, but provides prove, that the mail has not been tampered with and the author is indeed who he claims to be.
That being said, for non OpenPGP users, those signed mail do appear as an email with an .asc attachment. If you are not familiar with OpenPGP which chances are rather high you are not, since you are not an OpenPGP user, those attachment can cause great irritation.
To prevent this, let's create a KB-article explaining
- what a signature is and why people sign mails
- how to verify a signature
- cover different OS
Users can then include a link to that KB-article in their mail signature.
