I don't see any benefit in using bicoinpayflow instead of a bit coin address with proper URI support. the bitcoin client will support that in versions > 0.8.x.
If I'm misunderstanding something here, feel free to re-open. I'll add a new ticket for bit coin URI support with waiting for and we should deal with that as soon as 0.8.x is released.

It's a completely different scenario.
bitcoinpayflow would in theory let our web server know once a payment has been completed, so there would be no need to check the bitcoin client manually. -

No longer needed. Bitcoin now provides URI support on OS X - finally. Yey.
